We're hiring a new Workshop Operative.
Portsmouth Aviation Ltd - Dereham is a Bespoke Packaging company owned by Portsmouth Aviation Ltd Group operating in Dereham, Norfolk.
We offer a range of bespoke packaging and material conversion services.
Due the steady growth of the company we have a full time, permanent position available to join the established team in our Dereham based factory.
Information for candidates / Key Responsibilities:
- Completion of work in accordance with shop order instructions and technical drawings. Having the experience & knowledge of working from technical drawings is an advantage.
- The role involves product manufacture, assembly and packaging of goods for despatch.
- Manual / physical work, manually moving materials and component parts through the manufacturing process.
- Operating, Loading / unloading CNC routing machines as required, training will be given as the role progresses.
- Previous experience with the use of hand tools and woodworking equipment would be an advantage.
- The candidate would be expected to undertake general administration duties as required; this includes mandatory online training.
- The ideal candidate will be able to work under their own initiative, have excellent communication skills, high attention to detail ensuring a high standard of quality is maintained throughout their work.
PPE and RPE will be provided as required.
Working Hours: 08:30 - 16:30 Mon-Thurs & 08:30 - 16:00 on Fridays (37 hours per week).
Salary: Competitive
Annual Leave: 185 Hours per annum plus Bank Holidays
Security: Base DBS Clearance
