We’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes — early mornings, late nights, airports, local jobs and regular customers.

Demand has been absolutely crazy, to the point where we are genuinely at bursting point with workable hours and the number of jobs coming in.

That said, we do still have room for more minibus work, so if you could keep us in mind for group travel, airport runs, nights out, events or anything where an 8-seater is needed, it would be massively appreciated.

Even just sharing this post helps us more than you know.

A little shout out to the lads at AMR Garage, who sorted my brakes today with little to no notice.

Taxis do a lot of miles — well, ours certainly do — and brakes, tyres and suspension are things we always keep a close eye on. After a quick check, we noticed the pads had hit the squeal bars, so it was time for a new set.

Dropped the car off and it was fixed within the hour. What more could you ask for?

Vicky was heading to the airport with her hens for a once-in-a-lifetime trip abroad.

After asking around, she was inundated with people recommending us. After a few messages and a look through our Google profile, she had seen everything she needed to see.

That is exactly why reputation matters.

People recommend people, and that is brilliant. But when the recommendation is, “Go with them, they’re cheaper,” that is not always the right thing to hear — and I’ll explain why.

The cheapest option is often just a generic taxi with no branding, no real reputation to protect, and no long-term accountability. Then, when it comes time to do your “cheap job” and something better comes along, guess who risks being left stuck?

The other day I mentioned a couple of airport jobs where flights were heavily delayed. As always, we tracked the flights, adjusted our schedules, and made sure the customers got home safely.

Today I received this lovely message from one of those customers.

The truth is, I don’t do this for praise or recognition. We do it because it’s the right thing to do. When flights are delayed, customers are already dealing with enough stress. The last thing they need is to worry about whether their taxi will still be there.

Delays, cancellations, and changes are all part of the job. We monitor the flights, adapt where needed, and stay the course so our customers can travel with confidence.

Messages like this are genuinely appreciated and remind us why we do what we do. Thank you for the kind words.

Taxis are a funny thing. They take the lives of two complete strangers and place them together in a small space. Up here in the North, I often find that nothing is off limits when it comes to conversation in the back of a cab.

Today, we picked up a client who had travelled all the way from "The Big Smoke."
After many dedicated years building a successful, fast-paced career, they had come to a realisation: there is more to life than work. So, they booked a hotel in the middle of nowhere and came here to reconnect with themselves and regain a little ownership of their life.

Lessons often come from the simplest places, and today was one of those days.
It's easy to develop tunnel vision in life. We become hyper-focused on what we believe is important, while the things that truly matter can slip out of sight.

Take time to widen your perspective, refocus, and invest in yourself.
Many things in life have value, but time is priceless. Spend it wisely, because once it's gone, you never get it back. 🚖💭⏳

So on that note im going to go to the rank at the station and think about what number im going to put on for the lottery.

One thing about this job is that when it goes wrong, it really does go wrong.

My 8:00pm Newcastle return for Riri & Quddus ended up arriving over two hours late, and to top things off, my 1:30am pickup turned into a 3:00am job. But that's all part and parcel of the business. We track flights, adjust where needed, and get the job done.

For some companies, this would be a big deal. I'd even say some larger firms might have cancelled. Not us. We stay professional and see it through. After all, you as the customer are just as much at the mercy of delays as we are, and the last thing you need is even more stress. That's why we take that stress on ourselves and deliver the service you expect.

Anyway, enough rambling. It's 4:00am and I need to be back up at 7:00am.

Yeyy, go me! 😂
