Cumnock, Ballochmyle & Doon Valley Transport Action Group We also fully support the re-opening of Mauchline Station.

The aim of this group is to campaign for a train turn-around point in New Cumnock, which would increase capacity to hourly trains between New Cumnock, Auchinleck & Glasgow Central.

The Petition to reopen Cumnock and Mauchline Train Stations is now standing at 1,868 signatures, thank you to everyone who has signed so far, however this current petition will be closing on Sunday 30th November 2025, in readiness for future campaigns.

🟦 Last Friday afternoon I was delighted to join Councillor Alyson Simmons- with other elected members including our MSP's, as well as committee members from the Cumnock & Mauchline Railway Stations Action Group with their sub-group Re-instatement of Mauchline Train Stop at the Burns Monument in Mauchline, to give my continued support to the campaign to re-open our local Train Stations here in Cumnock & Mauchline. 🚄

The Campaign Banner which I am holding was designed for the Cumnock & Mauchline Railway Stations Action Group by local pupils at the Robert Burns Academy in Cumnock, I think they have done an amazing job! 👏👏
