The last weekend of May already! These months are just flying by. I hope you have all enjoyed the sunshine this week. The only thing missing for me was a pool to dip in and out of with cocktails on hand.
Welcome back to those of you who are/have returned from the half term away and wishing those of you travelling out a safe and happy holiday!

DID YOU KNOW?

❗️Benidorm has introduced on the spot fines of up to €1000 for holidaymakers renting mobility scooters without genuine medical needs.
❗️Local police have joined Benidorm council and scooter rental firms to enforce rules that existed on paper for years but were rarely applied.
❗️Rentals are now restricted to people aged over 65, those who can produce a blue badge as proof of disability or a certified letter from doctor confirming that you have mobility issues.
❗️Fines start at €500 for minor breaches and reach €1000 for riding in restricted zones or without insurance. Speed limits are also being enforced…4 kmh on pavements, 20 kmh on roads and cycle lanes.

If you or someone you know rents a scooter for convenience rather than medical need, don't take the risk.
