From Monday 23rd March, gas works on Mount Hill will mean road closures in Halstead, affecting several bus services including the 42, 88, 88A, 88B, and 89.

- Buses will be diverted, with some stops not served
- Expect longer journey times and possible delays
- Diversions may change as works progress, so check before you travel

These works are part of essential gas network upgrades and are expected to last for several weeks.

Passengers in the Tendring area may spot a brand new single deck bus in service over the coming weeks as part of a short trial.

This vehicle gives a first glimpse of the exciting changes underway following the acquisition of Konectbuses by Transport Made Simple, with further modernisation and improvements set to roll out later this year.

It’s an early taste of the fresh energy and investment coming to local services... keep an eye out and tag us with your photos if you see it in action!

Konectbuses is launching a new service, Route 78, running Monday to Saturday between Clacton-on-Sea and Brightlingsea, starting Monday 23rd February.

The service offers departures every two hours in each direction, providing convenient connections for commuters, shoppers, day trippers, and visitors. The route also stops at Great Bentley railway station, allowing seamless connections to trains toward Colchester and Walton-on-the-Naze.
