This removal was in a house on Dartmoor, there had been a colony here before and even though the comb had been removed a swarm repopulated the void. We removed all the bees and comb then proofed the void to stop the immediate area being used again.

This was an emergency removal so the customer could light their woodburner for the winter. The colony had arrived this summer and was still quite large for this time of the year. Checked for disease and united with another colony in the apiary.

Our 32nd and probably last cut out of the season, this was a few days ago in Exeter. A swarm had arrived this summer and had set up between the tiles and membrane. From the colour of the comb it appears that this was not the first colony here, the previous bees probably didn't make it through the winter due to their location. The colony was inspected for disease and combined with another strong colony to help them over winter in their new home.

This job was in Exbourne, Devon, the bees were getting in through cracks in the launching and had probably been there for 3 or 4 years. Bees and comb removed and the top of the crown rebuilt.

This one was in Burlescombe, near Tiverton. A swarm had moved in a few weeks ago but by the time we came to remove them they had moved on. We thought we would be dealing with a small amount of comb but it turned out that a colony had previously occupied this chimney. Comb extended about 4 feet down from the pot and had been completely robbed out.
