Before the racing began, Revival took flight.

The Freddie March Spirit of Aviation Party brought the history and glamour of Goodwood Aerodrome to life, with aircraft taking to the skies, vintage-inspired food, live music and guests enjoying a first look at the aviation display.

Named in honour of the 9th Duke of Richmond, whose passion for flight helped shape the Aerodrome we know today, the party is a celebration of Goodwood’s enduring connection with aviation.

Have you captured an incredible photo at Goodwood Aerodrome this year?

We’re looking for your best aviation photography to feature in our 2027 Rob Wildeboer Scholarship Calendar.

Whether it’s an aircraft in flight, a special moment on the ground or simply a great shot of the Aerodrome, we’d love to see your photographs.

Entry requirements:
📐 Landscape format: 150mm x 100mm
📷 Minimum resolution: 300dpi
📅 Deadline: 30 September
🛩 Must be taken at Goodwood Aerodrome

The calendar will be available to buy towards the end of the year, helping to raise funds for the Rob Wildeboer Scholarship.

From 23-25 November 2026, Goodwood Aero Club and GRRC Members are invited to Salzburg for an exclusive visit to Hangar-7 and the normally restricted Hangar-8, home to an extraordinary collection of aircraft and the team that keeps them flying.

The Freddie March Spirit of Aviation display featured an incredible line-up of aircraft this year. The 2026 winners were selected by our expert panel of judges from across the worlds of aviation, engineering, preservation and media.

1st place was the 1947 Le Vier Cosmic Wind presented by Peter Kynsey.
2nd Place was the 1955 Cessna 170B presented by Philippe Chatelet & Francois Rallet.
3rd Place was the 1944 DH89A Dragon Rapide 6 presented by David Starkey & Ben Cox.

The Rob Wildeboer Cup for best restoration was awarded to 1943 Boeing Stearman E75 presented by Andreas Maron.

See Revival from a different perspective.

Take to the skies during Goodwood Revival and look down on the event action from a rare aerial vantage point.

Enjoy a 30-minute flight in a classic Piper Super Cub, offering a unique view across the circuit and surrounding Goodwood Estate.

Flights operate daily from 9am–5pm and cost £210 per person.

Check in at the Operations Desk at the Aerodrome before your flight.

Please note: a valid Goodwood Revival ticket is required to enter the event.

A glimpse back at last year’s Freddie March Spirit of Aviation Party at Goodwood Aerodrome.

A gathering of Goodwood Members and aviation enthusiasts, set against the historic backdrop of the Aerodrome and its remarkable collection of aircraft.

From fine food and conversation to an evening spent among fellow aviation enthusiasts, it was a fitting celebration of Goodwood’s enduring connection to flight.
