We are reflecting on our experience in Parliament last week.

Managing Director Darryl Claypole is heavily involved in charity work for Brain Tumour Research. Himself and staff member George Healey spent months organising this event and building interest with MP’s.

Our rented room was soon a hive of conversation between ourselves, MP’s and parliament staffers.

It was our chance to spread the Brain Tumour Research message as far and wide as we could, and promote our upcoming Tour de Football cycling tour, whilst enjoying some canapes.

It was a very enjoyable day – despite the awful London traffic!

Yesterday City Couriers Direct were in the Houses of Parliament, London, to promote Brain Tumour Research and the Tour de Football and what a great day it was!

Managing Director, Darryl Claypole and administrator, George Healey have been pursuing MP’s for a number of months. The aim was to talk to MP’s about the shocking facts surrounding the charity and the people they help, it’s lack of support and to promote the Tour de Football we are organising.

As you may know, here are some shocking facts:
• Historically, just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to brain tumours.
• Brain tumours kill more men under 70 than prostate cancer.
• One in three people knows someone affected by a brain tumour.

We had a great reception which included MP’s and staffers.

All coordinated by the fantastic catering team who provided a very professional experience.

We really feel that we made an impact!

25/04/2023

We are in Parliament on Wednesday 26th April to host an event for Brain Tumour Research.

We will be talking to MP's to spread awareness and knowledge surrounding the impact that brain tumours can have and the need for more support.

Please show us your support by liking and sharing this post.

It will be a great day!

We are very excited to announce our Gala Dinner on the 20th May, 2023. The evening includes:
• A glass of prosecco upon arrival
• A delicious two course meal
• Licensed bar
• Guest speakers
• Auction
• Raffle
• Music from renowned Saxophonist and DJ, Paul Martyn
• Opportunities to network with your clients and suppliers and build your network

Our Gala Dinner will be raising funds for Brain Tumour Research and promoting Tour de Football, a major charity cycling event organised by Brain Tumour Research, City Couriers Direct and World Game-Changers. This great new initiative will see a team of cyclists tour England’s football clubs in September 2023.

All proceeds from the dinner will go towards Brain Tumour Research. Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.

If you have any questions and would like to know more about the Tour de Football Gala Dinner, please call me on 07872 611288 or email me on [email protected].

Ever considered the value of an apprentice?
At City Couriers Direct we benefit from the value of apprentices every day.

We currently employ three apprentice staff that cover the majority of our business, from van collections and same day to IT route management and admin support.

Whilst working for us they also complete a business admin qualification to cement their understanding and knowledge in the industry.

An overcast day outside the Queens Medical Centre (QMC), Nottingham means only one thing…

5 DAYS until we announce our secret project!!

In the run up the to the 15th of February, Darryl Claypole and his army of staff/family went to visit Dr Stuart Smith and Kelly Dawson at the QMC.
Dr Stuart Smith performed the removal of a brain tumour from Tom Claypole, Darryl’s son and continues to show support for our secret project.

We want to thank Stuart and Kelly for their professionalism and support during what is difficult situation.
