St Nicholas Day & Christmas Celebration – 6 December ✨

We had a truly magical and heart-warming celebration of St Nicholas Day and Christmas together with our Ukrainian community in Chesterfield.

The evening was filled with joy, music, children’s activities, gifts, and festive treats. The choir performance added a special touch and created a beautiful festive atmosphere. 🎶✨

A warm thank you to all our guests who joined us and shared this special celebration.

We are especially grateful to our wonderful volunteers, whose support, kindness, and hard work made this event possible. ❤️

In October, we held bright and creative workshops! 🌟

🎃 “Macramé Skeleton”

Together we made funny little Halloween skeletons, learned the macramé technique, and had a fantastic time!

Each child created their own personalized beaded keychain — colorful, unique, and made with love ❤️

🍁 “Autumn Collage” 🦊

Our little artists set off into the magical world of the autumn forest! Leaves turned into squirrels, hedgehogs, owls, and bunnies — a real autumn fairy tale came to life on paper 🍂

✨ A September full of creativity ✨

This month we held two inspiring art workshops that brought together people who love creativity and self-expression.

🎨 In the first workshop, participants created their own Mandala, exploring harmony through color, rhythm, and shape.

🖌️ The second workshop was dedicated to Inkblot Art – a playful and imaginative technique that allowed everyone to see shapes beyond randomness and bring them to life on paper.

Both events filled the room with inspiration, calmness, and joy — and we are excited to continue this creative journey together!

🌿 We warmly invite you to join our upcoming series of art workshops for adults — a special space where you can relax, express yourself, and create unique pieces of art with your own hands.

This August we had two wonderful community trips as part of our summer programme!

2nd August – Trip to York

Families with children enjoyed a day full of cultural and educational experiences, helping the little ones learn, grow, and connect with each other in a fun and inspiring way.

16th August – Community Outreach Trip to Oxford

In connection with Ukraine’s Independence Day, members of the Ukrainian community came together to strengthen social ties, support one another, and share moments of joy and resilience.

We are deeply grateful to Derbyshire County Council for their kind support in making both of these trips possible💛

These days created beautiful memories, strengthened our community spirit, and gave everyone a sense of belonging and hope.

Our 10-day holiday summer program in Chesterfield has come to a wonderful close!

During the school break, families enjoyed creative workshops, active games, treasure hunts, theatre, and relaxing picnics together in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

We are so grateful to all the families who joined us and made this holiday truly special. 💛

🇺🇦 Unity, support, and inspiration — together we are strong!

This summer, our gatherings became even warmer thanks to the exchange of experiences with Ukrainian communities from Sheffield and Derby. We had a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other, share ideas, talk about our activities, and learn about their initiatives.

💬 There was plenty of sincere communication, heartfelt stories, useful advice, and most importantly — a deep sense that we are not alone. In every city, in every group — there are incredible people building Ukrainian support abroad.

Together, we discussed:
– how we organize Nordic walking sessions,
– how we conduct workshops,
– how we support each other not just through activities, but also with kind words, friendship, and shared efforts 💛💙

These meetings became a source of new ideas, plans, and partnerships. We are truly grateful to everyone who joined us, who shared their experience, and opened their hearts!

In June and July, we not only stayed active outdoors but also created beauty with our own hands. One of the most emotional moments was making heart-shaped keychains in the colors of our Ukrainian flag. These weren’t just crafts — they were little symbols of love, support, and hope that each participant took home or gifted to someone dear 💙💛

🎨 The atmosphere during our workshops felt truly like family:
– we learned new skills;
– supported one another;
– shared stories, and simply enjoyed each meeting.

After the creative part, we always looked forward to our cozy tea time with special warmth ☕

Delicious treats, fragrant tea, and heartfelt conversations — that’s what turns our gatherings into more than just events. They become a real community of like-minded souls.

🌀 Mindful movement – gentle body practices to help you feel present in the moment
💃 Ecstatic dance – free-form dancing to express emotions and unleash inner freedom
🌳 Walks along different routes – changing locations, gaining new impressions, and enjoying natural beauty

Our gatherings are more than just classes — they’re a supportive space where you can slow down, breathe, move, and simply be yourself.

🎒 We explore beautiful places, connect with each other, share conversations, and inspire one another. There’s no need to be “skilled” — all you need is the willingness to be present, to feel, and to live consciously.

This is a thank you post to everyone for the experience I've gained during this time,
for the friendship, for the opportunity to feel useful and for the amazing opportunity to meet wonderful people!

At the moment, for personal reasons, I have temporarily moved with my family to another country. It was a difficult decision, but justified by the circumstances. And as we know, temporary can become permanent. So I don't know when we'll see each other again.
Sorry that I did not say goodbye to everyone in person. It was difficult to do so, given the limited time and the large number of people.
I am grateful to everyone and will miss each and every one of you 🥹🥹🥹
I hug everyone tightly and wish that all changes in life will be only for the better ✨✨✨
