It is with great sadness that we share the news that Alan Harris, or as most people knew him, Nobby, passed away peacefully this morning with his wife, Julie, by his side.
Although he parked up for the last time many years ago, so many people still asked after him. Once you had met Nobby, you never forgot him. In fact, many people were convinced he owned MLC! 😂
The stories this man could tell, and adventures he had over the years always kept everyone entertained.
He could tell you the route to just about anywhere and always knew where to find the best butty vans. If there was a shortcut worth knowing or a good café to stop at, Nobby knew it. Only the other week, he said to me that it never felt like work because he loved it so much.
In keeping with Nobby's wishes, there will be no funeral.
As a family, we would love to honour his memory by raising funds for the Gloucester Dialysis Centre, who cared for him so wonderfully over the last three and a half years. We will share a donation link at a later date for anyone who would like to support this incredible service in Nobby's memory.
