We start in Khao Lak, where things feel easy from the first step. Kalima is tucked between rivers, mangroves and rubber plantations, so it’s peaceful without feeling cut off. You’re minutes from Tap Lamu Pier for days out to the Similan Islands, all turquoise water and reef life. Then back in time for sundowners. The town is just a ten minute drive when you fancy a wander, a market, or somewhere new for dinner.
Then we switch it up. Properly. Two nights with Elephant Hills takes us deep into ancient rainforest, where everything slows down and sharpens at the same time. Night one is at the Jungle Camp. Think canvas under the trees, canoeing through still water, and an ethical elephant experience that stays with you long after. It’s quiet, close, and surprisingly moving.
Night two floats. Your luxury tent sits on the lake among limestone peaks and dense jungle, gently drifting with the rhythm of the water. Swim straight from your deck, paddle out in a canoe, or do nothing at all and listen as the jungle comes alive around you. One of those moments you’ll talk about for years.
Then it’s back to the coast for five nights at SALA Phuket Mai Khao Beach. Remote in the best way, set along Phuket’s longest stretch of sand and edged by national park, it feels like your own private corner of the island. The villas are a bit of a showstopper. Your Garden Pool Villa gives you 1,700 sq ft of space to spread out, with an indoor/outdoor bathroom and your own pool tucked inside a walled garden. Morning dips, late night swims, no schedule required.
The spa is made for a reset, with plant based treatments that polish off the pace of the trip before you head home. And we’ve added a few little extras because it’s your honeymoon after all.
