We're delighted to announce that the Starling Aerobatic Team will be displaying at the Stoke Medway & Invicta Aero Club Air Show on 4th July!

Known for their precision flying, thrilling manoeuvres, and spectacular formation displays, the Starling team is sure to be one of the highlights of this year's event. Whether you're an aviation enthusiast or simply looking for a fantastic family day out, this is a display you won't want to miss.

The longest day of the year, and what a day it has been!

The sun had barely risen over Stoke Medway this morning before our Eurostar was being wheeled out of the hangar for a stunning sunrise flight. There are few better ways to start the summer solstice than watching the countryside wake up from above.

Back on the ground, the day continued in equally fine style. We were delighted on the return of the Jet Bean Coffee pop-up. Three of our aircraft got airborne several times through the day, introducing local people to the world of general aviation through a series of impromptu introductory flights.

From first-time flyers discovering the magic of light aircraft to friends old and new enjoying great coffee and great company, today has been a wonderful reminder of what our club is all about.

Beautiful weather, wonderful people, fantastic flying... and with plenty of daylight still ahead of us, the longest day isn't over yet!

With a low-pressure system bringing fierce winds and low cloud today, we found ourselves playing the waiting game for much of the day. Fortunately, a couple of breaks in the weather gave us the opportunity to reposition aircraft, carry out checkouts, and even take our newest student up for a trial lesson.

A big welcome to the club, Adrian - we’re delighted to have you on board and look forward to seeing your flying journey begin!

Our first act announcement for the 4th of July…

The Invicta Horses Display Team

This unique display act features three Invicta Aero Club aircraft flying a dynamic routine of aerial choreography. Last year we saw the Rocket 172 alongside two PA28 Archers, but for 2026 the team will be displaying three matching Cessna 152s.

The Cessna 152 has long been the world’s primary trainer aircraft for new pilots. Watch as the pilots fly in tight formation, with the airshow display building to some spectacular special effects in the second half!
