The Little Boat Company

The Little Boat Company The Little Boat Company is now closed permanently. We are open on Mondays, Fridays and all good weather weekends and school/bank holidays.

After almost 3 years of careful planning, on 9th April 2021, The Little Boat Company opened at the boating lake in Cannon Hall. This beautiful spot hadn’t been used for boating since the Georgian era; the Stanhope family last used it many moons ago. It has been wonderful to reopen the lake for boating and to see so many happy families enjoying this magical spot once again! Please see our FAQs belo

Just a quick message to let you know that we have reluctantly decided to close the boating lake at Cannon Hall. The amount of sediment that has collected in the middle lake means that the boats can no longer operate as the water level isn't deep enough, and the cost of annual dredging is not an option. It's time to close.

We'd just like to thank everyone who has been down for a ride during the last few seasons. We've met some wonderful people down by the lake and created some lovely memories. We hope you've enjoyed your time on our swan boats.

Thanks ever so much for visiting us and we hope you keep enjoying Cannon Hall park! Thank you!
