Venue Manager role at Scott & Brassey, Carlisle.

The group company has been in operation now for 25 years. We're a solid, secure and well established business. In our other five venues, our managers have been with us for a total of over 60 years between them, sometimes coming back after previously departing. Our senior management team has well over 40 years with us between them. I'm the owner and I'm writing this. I've been here, clinging on, since we started.
But... we are fusspots. We expect managers to lead from the front. A lot of the back office is automated and website based now (HR, rotas, stock ordering etc). Standards have to be really high. We don't like dirty glasses sitting on tables, heating not being right, music too loud or too quiet, fridges not stocked. We run with a much higher staffing percentage than most bars, just so we can keep standards up.
A passion for b**r and b**r styles would work really well. Scott & Brassey has a big range of keg and cask options. A knowledgeable b**r person would be in their element chatting with customers and ordering unusual brews.
We're fair payers too. We'll offer a salary pitched at the top end of Carlisle manager packages - somewhere from 35k upwards. Tell us your salary expectations when you apply. We'll pay the right salary for the right person.
We're also a bit weird in that we like our managers to work four-day weeks. Having time away from work matters. There's an employee discount and support from the wider Lancaster Brewery team.
