Bronwen the Cardiff Waterbus ship's dog Hello, I'm Bronwen the ship's dog on the Cardiff Waterbus. We run from Cardiff's Mermaid Quay to Penarth and I am the most important crew member.

Cardiff Waterbus is the original boat operator on the bay - come and join us on our scheduled ferry services from Mermaid Quay to Penarth and back. You can also charter the big yellow boat for pleasure or educational trips. Bronwen welcomes everyone on board and loves school trips!

Well, a big surprise today. Dad told me that I cannot go out on the waterbus any more as he has sold it! The boat is going up to Liverpool soon. I am really going to miss you all and my cwtches. Dad took me for a swim today. I reckon he thinks that will make up for the lack of cwtch time. He is, like always, very wrong.....

Our Story

Cardiff Waterbus was the original boat operator on the bay. We finished running our scheduled service from Penarth to Mermaid Quay and back On April 19th 2018 when Steve the owner retired. You can see the big yellow boat in future up in the Albert dock in Liverpool where she will be working. Thanks for all your custom and the cwtches you gave Bronwen!
