Summer has turned to autumn and the nights are drawing in so that can only mean the the latest edition of Right Tracks will be hitting your inbox imminently. The RCTS De Cymru/South Wales Branch meetings may be taking a break during August, but our monthly newsletter, Right Tracks, certainly won’t be.

Alongside our regular features, Stuart Warr looks at the consequences of line closures, examining trains diverted from their regular routes across England and Wales.

Also included is the concluding part of our series on the Cornish china clay traffic, together with the latest instalment of our occasional Resorts for Railfans series, this time featuring Lincoln and the Joint Line. We also have the final part of David Chamberlain’s Canadian travelogue, this time concentrating on Toronto and the surrounding area.

The August edition of Right Tracks will be unleashed on the world on Saturday 1 August. If you’re not already registered to receive a copy, simply send a request to [email protected] and we’ll add you to the mailing list.

This is your go-to place for all the latest branch news, including upcoming meetings, events, railway news, and interesting stories and snippets from across the railway world.

We meet on the second Wednesday of each month from September to July at the Old Church Rooms, Park Road, Radyr.

Whether you’re a long-standing RCTS member, a lifelong railway enthusiast, or simply curious to learn more, you’ll be made very welcome. We look forward to meeting you and sharing our passion for railways.
