🙈 let's just not pick all the mud and weeds up, let's just block all the drains 🙈 Furtherwick Rd Canvey, 8am onwards, 31st July 2025. One man just scraping the weeds and muck into the road, the other man scraping the muck and weeds and blowing it into the roads. Anybody else see this today?

A number of trees dead on Canvey, so thought I'd list the ones I have to pass almost daily!
Tree 1: Foksville Road (the one way system with entrances to Castleview School and Sainsbury's )
Like many others, I have to pass rather close to this, almost daily"... if no leaves on a tree this time of year, it's dead and waiting to drop down !!
I was a gardener/ groundsman at 3 London hospitals for nearly 50 years, these trees are an accident waiting to happen!

We have been round fisherman’s corner on Canvey and nearly all the poppy‘s are gone 😳 these seeds were spinkled in the hope they’d grow, for the Bees 🐝 and Butterflies 🦋 not Humans 😱
please don’t take them, even if you think they’ve finished flowering, they’ll reseed themselves… please leave them for the pollinators 🙈

Does anybody know when the ramp at Thorney Bay will be tarmaced (a councillor told us last year it was going to be done, which was welcomed), it's so bad on your ankles when walking, the mobility scooters struggle, god knows how family's push their prams up this slope and there's no drop kerbs... either cross the road by going into a car park 🤦🏼‍♀️ or try to cross the road when oncoming traffic both ways can't see you because of trees and bushes each side 😩

Castle Point Borough Council Echo Essex Rebecca Harris grass growing in the roads, drop curbs not low enough or even aligned when crossing. A main pathway taking you to the town centre!

Hornsland Road Canvey Island: although the drop curbs are opposite each other when crossing this Road, the road (smallgains end), is very uneven and the pot holes are deep, somebody not steady on their feet would probably trip and small wheeled mobility scooters would tip over… Cross the road further down Hornsland! 💐 Is this what they call leaving our Island to grow wild? 💐
What’s the drains, grass verges, unlooped trees and the roads like down the roads you walk?
So out on our walk today (and a site we see often down most of the roads on Canvey)… is weeds!
Location of this one is: Meadway, Canvey Island, the whole road is full of weeds (to a point where you can’t see the curbs in some points), the drains have some nicer looking flowers growing out of them, a tree is dead as you can see and you CANT walk on many parts of the pathway because of the overgrown trees (this picture is towards the bottom of the road), who sorts these problems then I wonder and how many of them will pass the buck again?
