Devonshire Dome Visitor Experience

Devonshire Dome Visitor Experience Step back in time and experience one of the most iconic and historic buildings in England through our weekly heritage and ghost tours.

The Devonshire Dome Visitor Experience was originally developed by former Tourism Management degree student Fay Fallows. Fay recognised the dramatic increase in the number of visitors to The Dome and its spa and dining facilities on offer following the opening of the University in 2006; Fay realised that guided tours and ghost walks could provide a real insight into the history of the building as

well as further showcasing this architectural gem, closely linked with Buxton's spa town heritage. The tours which are primarily delivered by current University students also provide a perfect opportunity for experiential learning for students looking to gain and enhance skills during their course. The Devonshire Dome has to be seen to be believed and upon entering the building you are presented with a sight that is truly unique - one of the largest unsupported dome's in Europe. Bistro 55 Cafe, is perfectly placed at the centre of The Dome close to the main entrance and is open Monday - Friday (during events also at weekend) from 9.30am - 2.30pm for breakfast/ lunch and a range of hot and cold drinks - so take your time and gaze in wonder at this truly awe inspiring sight!
