Sad to announce that WRCS will be ceasing operations as of now. We have had a good run (36 years) and many memories, good and bad. It was nice to be able to work with my dad for all those years. We had different ways of doing things, but it always worked out in the end. There's been so many drivers, office staff, mechanics that have added to the mix. Not mentioning names as I don't want to leave anyone out. So many coaches too. Some super reliable, others not so, lol. We've made many friends over the years and had some cracking holidays and bowls tours. It's the end of an era.

To those of you who have been coming on our holidays, I hope to carry on arranging a few trips in the future using another coach company. Watch this space.

Best wishes for the future to all our customers, staff and friends, past and present.

Well we've just returned from another successful trip to Torquay. Stayed at the Babbacombe Hotel for the first time. Very impressed from the start. A warm welcome from the manager and attentive service from the staff. Bar open 24 hours and happy hour from 3 til 6. Wasn't expecting much in the way of entertainment on the first night, but we were all in stitches at the lady comedienne, impressionist and musician. Next day we travelled the short distance to Paignton station, where we caught the steam train to Dartmouth, where we had free time to explore and then a one hour boat cruise on the river Dart. Sun came out and made the day. Back on the train to the hotel for another lovely evening meal, followed by Bingo and more live entertainment. Wednesday. Again blessed by gorgeous sunny weather, we made our way to Powderham Castle where we were given a guided tour of the historic house and then went on a tractor safari to get close up with the deer in the estate's park. After an earlier dinner we walked the short distance to the Babbacombe Theatre for the last night performance of the Summer show. A first class variety performance. Thursday was a more leisurely affair, a lay in, followed by free time in Torquay itself, for shopping and sightseeing. The evening meal was followed by more Bingo and top notch entertainment. Friday, we were all sad to be leaving, but were bid a fond farewell by the staff, with the sun still gloriously shining. I'm sure we will be back.

Based at the 'Gilsland Hall Hotel' near Carlisle, on a half board basis

Price includes, refreshments on coach, three day trips and entrance to Beamish

Provisional Itinerary:
Day 1. - Travel to Northumberland and check into our hotel.
Day 2. - Travel to Keswick in the Lake District, taking in the beautiful scenery en route.
Day 3. - Take a trip 'over the border' to the famous Gretna Green, then spend the rest of the day in the lovely city of Carlisle, where you can visit the Castle or Cathedral or do some shopping in 'The Lanes' undercover shopping centre.
Day 4. - We head East to BEAMISH, the living museum of the North, where we can spend the day going back in time.
Day 5. - We journey home.
