Smart motorways, what do we all think of them? The government are now scrapping the plans to build new ones, they are however going to finish the ones already started. M56 J6-8 and M6 J21a-26.
Despite some people pointing out the obvious hazards of them, and that people have been hurt due to the hard shoulder being a live lane. Mark Harper (transport secretary) insists they are safe.
All existing smart motorways are going to remain as the government have said about the cost to return them back to original state.
