Marine Plant Hire Scotland is building a pool of reliable Fife based riggers, HGV drivers and marine site operatives for upcoming projects.
This will be flexible, project-based work rather than a full-time position at this stage. We are looking for local operatives who may be available for short-notice work when suitable jobs come in.
Typical duties may include:
- Assisting with modular pontoon installation and dismantling
- Rigging temporary restraint and mooring systems
- Working with Tirfors, lever hoists, shackles, slings and anchor blocks
- Loading and unloading equipment
- Working alongside excavators, HIABs and site plant
- General marine site support
- Keeping equipment organised, checked and returned properly
Preferable experience or qualifications but not mandatory:
- Rigging or lifting operations experience
- Slinger/signaller or banksman qualification
- CPCS or NPORS tickets
- CSCS card
- Marine, civil engineering, construction or plant hire experience
- C1+E HGV license
- HGV, HIAB or trailer towing experience
- First aid or water safety qualifications
- RYA Powerboat tickets commercially endorsed
- Comfortable working outdoors, around water and on active construction sites
Applicants must be practical, reliable, safety-minded and able to work as part of a small team.
Full familiarisation will be given on our modular pontoon systems, but previous rigging, lifting or site experience would be a strong advantage.
Different rates are available depending on experience, responsibility and tickets, including standard operative and supervisor/lead hand rates.
Based in Burntisland, Fife, with work across Scotland.
