John Shone Haulage We are a family run, specialist brick and block haulage company. Running 44 tonne articulated vehicles with brick cranes, pulling trailers.

Presently we run an 8 wheeler wagon and drag.

Wanted to warn all my trucker friends. Just had a rant at one of our fuel card providers - Fuelcard Company.
For starters after a skimming incident in Runcorn in Sept we had cards cancelled without providing us with replacements. Then whilst checking our invoices I found a secondary unnecessary account had been created. This had card costs but across both accounts I also found Eco point, zero liability and extended payment terms were set up without my permission. In one month these were costing nearly £100!!!! In my shock I rang to discuss this to be told they were all ‘Opt out’ services and I should have opted out. Yes you had to opt out of these, or they would be added to your account. Whilst running our busy business I’m now expected to check up on all our service providers and see if any sneaky tactics have been implemented. Instead of them asking if you want to opt in, it is added and you are supposed to find the email (in the spam I might add) and opt out. Oh I’m to blame for it going to the spam too apparently. I’m stunned. What a disgrace. 😡. Is anyone else effected by this?
