Arran Fine Foods Kitchen Shop began as a small factory in the early 1970s, originally producing a single mustard. Thanks to its exceptional quality and growing demand, the mustard range soon expanded, leading to the creation of additional product lines including relishes, chutneys, marmalades, and preserves.

Based in the village of Lamlash on the east coast of Arran, the company produces foods that reflect the quality and character of the surrounding countryside. All products are made using 100% natural ingredients and are available in both catering tubs (2.35kg) and smaller retail case packs.

Established in the early 1990s, Bellevue Creamery was originally a former milking shed that was converted into a modern production facility. It now produces a small-batch, award-winning range of farmhouse cheeses using rich, creamy milk from the Isle of Arran’s last remaining dairy herd. The cows graze on lush green pastures just a few miles from the creamery, contributing to the distinctive character of the milk.

With over 18 years of experience, Calum Chaplin brings both technical expertise and global culinary insight to his role as head cheesemaker. After an international career as a chef, he returned to the Isle of Arran, where he grew up, and has been crafting cheese ever since.

Arran’s Cheese Shop produces and sells 13 varieties of flavoured cheddar alongside the soft cheeses made at Bellevue. The shop also offers a wide selection of local Arran food products, complemented by a carefully curated range of Scottish deli items and cheeses.

Arran Ice Cream is produced on the Isle of Arran, often described as “Scotland in miniature.” Just 20 miles long and located in the Firth of Clyde.

Arran ice cream reflects the island’s natural, unspoilt beauty. It is made exclusively using fresh whole milk from the last remaining dairy herd on Arran, which grazes on lush, green pastures - giving the ice cream its distinctive, creamy flavour. Each batch is produced in small quantities by a skilled and passionate team dedicated to quality.

Arran Dairies traces its origins back to the 1930s, when the Dobson family established a small on-farm dairy to supply milk and cream to the local village. In 1999, the family began making ice cream using milk from their own herd, capturing the richness of Arran’s pastures in every scoop.

Now, 27 years and four generations later, Arran Ice Cream remains a family-run business, handmade by a small and dedicated team. Today, it is enjoyed across the United Kingdom, and as far afield as the United States.

Since 1991, the Arran Cheese Shop has been making its unique range of flavoured cheddars on the Isle of Arran for over three decades. This family-run business is built on a commitment to exceptional local produce, made with care and delivered with friendly, knowledgeable service.

Unlike many UK cheddars that are matured quickly and develop a sharp, crumbly character within a few months, Island Cheese Company takes a slower approach. Their cheddar is matured for 12 to 14 months, allowing it to develop a richer flavour and a smooth, creamy texture.

Produced in a small creamery on the Isle of Arran, within the former home farm of Brodick Castle, the Isle of Arran Cheese Shop has earned a loyal following across Scotland. Using slow-matured cheddar and an imaginative range of flavourings, their cheeses are renowned for quality and character. Popular varieties include Oak Smoked, Chilli, Mustard, Caramelised Onion, Whisky, and Herb, among many others.

Wooleys of Arran Bakery is part of the Taste of Arran group, Wooley’s has been baking on the Isle of Arran since the mid-19th century. With a heritage rooted in traditional methods, the bakery has been run by the Keir family since the early 1980s, when Lindsay Keir took over the business. Today, it is proudly carried on by his son, Matthew.

Wooley’s oatcakes are a long-standing favourite, known for their distinctive rough texture and satisfying crunch. Versatile and full of flavour, they pair equally well with sweet or savoury toppings. Naturally high in fibre and made with slow-releasing carbohydrates, they offer a wholesome alternative to biscuits while helping to sustain energy levels.

The bakery continues to fire yeast doughs in two antique Scotch ovens, a practice unchanged since the 19th century. At a time when traditional baking was under threat from mass-produced bread, the Keir family preserved these time-honoured skills. Today, that dedication has paid off, with Wooley’s earning a strong reputation for its traditionally baked Scottish oatcakes alongside a tempting range of flavoured biscuits, including ginger, coconut, and cranberry.
