August you’ve broken me 😅

Another great month for the team at Movements. Summer has been amazing, so much going on and we’ve manoeuvred our way through it effortlessly!

Really proud of the work we have completed in the last fortnight. We’ve made some tough jobs look very easy! Even getting keys at 5pm on our last job on the Friday before bank holiday, into a first floor flat, didn’t dampen our spirits! We just roll with the punches 🥊

There is so much experience in our crew, it makes jobs so efficient as we can work through any scenario with great communication and understanding.

The thing is that WE CARE!! WE CARE ABOUT YOUR STUFF!! WE CARE ABOUT YOU, AS PEOPLE, OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS!!

It’s so evident in how we go about our work, and we also choose to work with other companies who feel and work in the same way. It’s really a joy to behold at times! I’m welling up! 😭

We have been on some fun jobs since our last update, with a full bell tent de-rig, kitchen deliveries for a national supplier, a big three day pack and move from South London to Devon, and also this week lots of lovely local moves!

On the South London job we had some help loading from Phoebe the cat - we LOVE meeting your pets!

Of the jobs I can remember, we have been in Uffculme, Cardiff, Bath, Cullompton (twice), Sydenham in South London, Woodbury, Honiton (twice), Musbury and Broadhembury.

Now for a rare weekend off, for some much needed R & R!

Thanks more than ever to the companies we work with and for, and our amazing crews.

The last two months have been incredible.. I’m worn out but full of pride at what we have achieved together ❤️

Struggling to remember all the places we’ve been since our last update, of the ones I can remember we have been on jobs in Chard, Exeter (several times), Wilderness Festival, Somerton, Mary Tavy, Oxford, Tiverton (twice), Birmingham (twice), Sidmouth (thrice), Bishops Lydeard, Norton Fitzwarren, Weston, Metcombe, Uffculme, Wellington, Bristol, Barry, Nether Stowey, Cullompton and Stroud! 🤯🤯

Bit slack on the pictures this time, sorry, will be more on the next update I promise!

It’s been a mental summer, genuinely non-stop. Holiday is now booked for when the craziness stops and we can’t wait to get on that plane! ✈️ 🏖️ 🍕

Cheers July!

One of our busiest ever months I think, with the diary overflowing and the phone buzzing constantly. Just how we like it!

We’ve been to some interesting places and some far away ones too, with some overnight stays along the way in some locations for some much needed R & R!

We’ve been on jobs in Sidmouth (twice), Upottery, Totnes, Clyst St George, Honiton, Exmouth (twice), Budleigh Salterton, Wilderness Festival in Oxfordshire, Horsham in West Sussex, Cullompton, Exton, Topsham, Crediton, Winscombe, Wiveliscombe, Great Ellingham in Norfolk, Hook in Hampshire, Exeter and Leatherhead in Surrey 🤯🤯🤯

As well as a few days delivering for a national logistics company across Devon and Cornwall!!
Not sure how we fit it all in sometimes.

On to August, which looks set to be just as busy.

As always, thank you to all the lads and lasses we work with, and the professional companies we work alongside. It’s a real pleasure to have these associations with like minded people and businesses and we feel very fortunate to be a part of this amazing network 💪

Been a challenge the last fortnight working in the heatwave, but thankfully we have had some jobs at some pretty COOL places!

We have been on jobs at Longleat Safari Park, Lulworth Castle, Soho Farmhouse, the Bournemouth International Centre, and also to site in Newquay for the upcoming Boardmasters Festival!

Have been doing the usual mix of house moves, event work, and specialist transport for super delicate items, included a large sun for Boardmasters and several fragile fake plants for an interior design project in central London. All made by very talented artists based in Somerset.

On top of this we have been on jobs in the Cotswolds (several times!), Rockbeare, Cullompton, Nether Stowey, Feniton, Honiton, Plymouth, Sidmouth, Topsham, Harlesden in North West London, Castle Cary and Totnes 🤯🤯 whilst also fitting in days out delivering freight for national logistics companies.

Has been genuinely non-stop, as is often the case in peak summer, and the rest of July is looking no different!

It has been blood, sweat and tears these last couple of weeks with some HOT days and some BIG jobs to contend with 🥵 🚛 🏠

We have navigated through it all though, and can look back with some pride at the seamless completion of some challenging jobs.

We have been to jobs in the Cotswolds, New Forest, Chardstock, Christchurch, Sidmouth, Cullompton, Nether Stowey, Cranbrook, Rockbeare, Oxford, Chippenham, Monmouth, Stalbridge in Dorset, Broadhembury, Feniton, Lostwithiel in Cornwall, Otterford and Wiveliscombe! 🤯🤯🤯

It seems even more when you write it all down!!

And we have also somehow managed to fit in a couple of days delivering for local and national businesses, mainly in Plymouth and north and mid Devon.

Thanks as always to our hard working and flexible staff, and to all the companies who we work with and alongside. We would not be able to complete some of these larger jobs without your invaluable and professional assistance.

Well, it has certainly been an EVENTful couple of weeks at Movements, with the summer season now getting fully into motion.

We have been to lots of glamorous locations delivering and collecting furniture for a range of events - weddings, corporate functions, fashion events, and general seasonal festivities!

On our travels for this work we have been to Soho Farmhouse in the Cotswolds, a country hotel in the Honiton area, a festival at the Hurlingham Club in south west London, as well as beautiful manor estates in Brecon and Cornwall for weddings.

On top of this we have of course been up to our usual bread and butter of packing, moving and shifting. We’ve had some amazing customers and have been working in Nether Stowey, Cullompton, Exeter, Honiton (several times), Winscombe and Weston-super-Mare.

Somehow we have also managed to fit in a couple of days delivering to businesses for a national logistics network 🤯

It’s all been great fun, and we’ve met some great people - fellow crews, customers, colleagues and site managers - who have made it all a smooth and enjoyable process.

After the sweltering heat of last week 🥵, we’ve been back to the more traditional practice of getting soaked this week ☔️

The changes in the weather do create different challenges for our crew - but it’s all in a days work for us.

We’ve been to some great properties since our last post, and met some really interesting and lovely customers.

We’ve been on jobs in Farway, Brookmans Park in Hertfordshire, Exeter, Axminster, Colyford, Dunkeswell, Hemyock and Whitestone. As well as helping out national and local businesses with their deliveries.

Looking forward to a busy summer with plenty of exciting things in the pipeline 🚛 🏡

Plenty going on at Movements since our last update, as we have had jobs in Exeter (several times!), Honiton, Westclyst, Newton Poppleford, Sidmouth (thrice!), South Zeal, Budleigh Salterton, Chard and Plymtree. As well as a trip to London - with deliveries into Tottenham and Highgate, and a collection in Camberley, Surrey on our way back.

On top of helping out local and national businesses with their deliveries - all across Devon.

Lots of miles covered and lots of happy customers. The rest of the month and into June looking busy, with lots more exciting stuff in the pipeline for what is looking like a busy summer ahead.

Time for an update, and there has been plenty going on in the past fortnight with jobs in Eastcombe near Stroud, Colliton, Whimple, Axminster, Budleigh Salterton, Wantage in Oxfordshire, West Buckland, Exeter, Nether Stowey and Cullompton.

Highlights have been a commercial move - moving the entire contents of a poultry vets locally - and a nice day within Axminster when the sun shone brightly on us.

We’ve also been busy helping out local businesses with their deliveries over the Bank Holiday period, mainly down in the South Hams, Cornwall and across Dartmoor.

Lots to look forward to in the coming months, thanks as usual to everyone we work alongside.

Been mixing it up this past fortnight with lots of variety in our work. Been great being out and about in this sunny weather ☀️

Our travels have taken us to Bristol, Tiverton, Ottery St Mary, Axminster, Exmouth, Castle Cary, Wimbledon, Luppitt, Budleigh Salterton, Oswestry in North Wales for an overnighter, Crowcombe and Lustleigh amongst other places. We have also been delivering freight for a national logistics company. , mainly in Exeter and mid Devon.

Lots to look forward to in the coming months. This is our favourite time of year!
