Been an eventful few weeks for us with lots of variety in our work.

The last couple of days we have been assisting with ActionAid’s exhibition in Exeter, bringing artwork and decor down from their HQ in London to the Positive Lights space in Sidwell Street.

‘Women by Women’ is a photography exhibition that celebrates women from across the world, both in front of and behind the camera, focusing mainly on Nepal, Cambodia, Brazil and Nigeria.

The exhibition runs all this coming weekend, and is well worth checking out.

In our more ‘run of the mill’ work, we have been on jobs in Sidmouth (twice), Ilminster, Hatch Beauchamp, Woodbury, Colyford, Honiton and several other places locally, as well as doing deliveries of kitchen supplies when time allows.

London Calling… ! Several trips to the capital planned in March, with space on the van for items and loads of all sizes to be delivered and/or collected on route and in surrounding areas.

Good excuse for a trip down Memory Lane to remind ourselves of some of our other jobs in the big smoke over the years…

Lugging things around in the rain seems to be a theme of 2026, as February continues to be very busy and very wet!

This month we have been nice and local mainly with jobs in Colyton (twice), Sidmouth, Taunton, Ottery St Mary, Metcombe, Allercombe, Buckerell, Exeter (several times!), Monkton, Axmouth, Stoke Canon, Huxham, Southampton and Northam in North Devon.

Some big jobs in there, lots of heavy items, and lots of steps as well. Just how we like it as we dance in the face of the rain.

January ✅

We survived! In what turned out to be a busy start to the year, we have battled the conditions and made it to the other side.

The best thing about this month has been the amount of return customers. It’s always amazing to see the familiar faces and catch up, and it’s the ultimate compliment when they have chosen to use our services once more.

We have had some big jobs as well since our last update, and have worked in Awliscombe, Pinhoe, Exmouth, North Wootton near Shepton Mallet, Seaton, Beer, Metcombe, the villages of Winterbourne Stickland and Maiden Newton in Dorset, Over Stowey near Bridgwater, Bovey Tracey, Chudleigh, Cranbrook (twice), Axminster, Sidmouth (twice), Colyton and Taunton.

Going into February all guns blazing.

Lots of team efforts this month combining with other local companies as usual, so thank you to all those guys for your help and support. It’s a pleasure to work with, for and alongside you all.

January is always a fun month after some time off for the festivities, as we look to get back into the swing of things with the rain and cold and darkness to contend with… I haven’t taken many pictures this year, so here is one of me in the van absolutely soaked to sum up those January vibes perfectly 😅

In truth, it’s been a steady start to 2026 with jobs in Tiverton, Highbridge, a village called Mark in Somerset, Sidmouth, a village called Coates in the Cotswolds, Axbridge, Norton Fitzwarren, Wilmington, Taunton, Seaton, Hawkchurch, Exeter (twice) and Whimple…. As well as doing some charity work for Hospiscare with the gaps in the diary.

Feeling positive and optimistic for 2026, with lots of exciting things in the diary to look forward to.

Good day today out in the rain, donating a van and driver to collect Christmas trees as a volunteer for Hospiscare. Raising money for a good cause. Nice to help out a really great charity 🙂

It’s a wrap 🎁!

Time for a break after a crazy December. Looking forward to some time off to rest and enjoy hobbies.
And better start the Christmas shopping 😅

We’ve been busy on lots of local jobs mainly these last couple of weeks, working in Plymtree, Awliscombe, Sidmouth (several times!), Churchill near Axminster, Exeter, Cranbrook (twice!), Totnes, Topsham and Cullompton 🤯

Also working with national and local businesses to assist with their festive deliveries 🎅

Been all work and soft play since our last post, with a mammoth job assisting a local company with the disassembly and transportation of soft play apparatus from a site in the Shrewsbury area….
We have had some long days in the past but this marked a new Movements PB I think!!

The toolbox has seen a lot of action as we have had lots of dismantling and reassembly to do during a very busy period in the lead up to Christmas. Have never known a December like it 🤯

We’ve had our usual jobs delivering kitchens, barrels of beer and kitchen supplies for national and local companies, as well as moves in Bristol, Sidmouth, Axminster (twice!), Southampton, Wadeford nr Chard and Guildford.

As well as assisting with the unloading of a lorry load of furniture into a care home in Weymouth and a small clearance job too!

Thanks, as usual, to all the other companies we work with to get the jobs done!

Will probably squeeze in one last post before Christmas, still lots in the diary before we can start to fully enjoy the festivities.
