Planning to visit the beautiful historic city of Rome? 🇮🇹🍕⛲️

Choose your travel dates wisely! April and May are particularly busy, so it’s worth planning ahead and booking excursion tickets in advance. Popular attractions often have long queues unless you purchase skip-the-line access.

Rome is a vibrant city packed with fantastic restaurants, cafés, and street food. For more reasonable prices, venture a little away from the main tourist sights. A cocktail with a famous view can easily cost £25 or more!

Hop-on, hop-off sightseeing buses start from around €27 and are a great way to explore the city. I highly recommend a visit to Villa Borghese, the beautiful park just north of the city centre. It’s a peaceful place to relax, enjoy lunch, and take a break from the busy streets.

Many of Rome’s historic attractions can be enjoyed independently with an audio guide, although guided tours are also available if you prefer a more in-depth experience.

The train from Rome airport to Termini station is €14pp, a taxi is €55-75.
