ROSE OVERDOSE X SHY MIMOSA PERFUMERY

Flashback to last weekend.

We had the rare privilege of hosting Silvia — perfumer, founder, and third-generation Bulgarian rose grower — during her special visit for an intimate two-day event dedicated to heritage, craftsmanship, tradition, and artisan perfumery.

Silvia welcomed us into the soul of her world, sharing stories from her family’s rose fields in Bulgaria and the generations of knowledge behind every harvest — memories of the land, distilled into her quartet of olfactory creations.

Together we explored the raw materials Silvia brought directly from her fields, breathing in the essence that inspires each fragrance and experiencing the artistry behind the collection.

Each scent unfolded like a chapter — a sensory passage through Bulgarian landscapes, heritage, and the timeless craft of rose cultivation and perfumery.

A moment of true olfactive storytelling we are still quietly reliving.

And then, the unexpected twist… none of the fragrances contain rose.

EVENT // BULGARIA IN SCENT + MEET THE PERFUMER 

As Shy Mimosa celebrates 10 years, this event feels especially close to my heart.

Being a native Bulgarian, I have been searching for a Bulgarian brand that truly represents the beauty, soul, and heritage of where I come from. When I discovered Rose Overdose , I was beyond excited — not only because Silvia Yonkova is also a fellow Bulgarian, but because of her incredible heritage - an ancestor of rose growers from Bulgaria’s legendary Rose Valley in the town of Kazanlak.

I am very excited to finally realise this dream and I’m honoured to welcome Silvia in person for two intimate afternoons dedicated to her fragrance collection: Olfactive Bulgaria.

A celebration of Bulgaria’s aromatic heritage, this beautiful collection captures the soul of the landscape — where locally sourced natural ingredients meet contemporary perfume artistry.

Join us for a rare opportunity to step into Silvia’s world, and experience her fragrances as they were meant to be discovered.

During the event, you’ll be invited to:

A Message from Maria

For those new to Shy Mimosa, allow me to introduce myself — I am Maria, the founder and curator of Shy Mimosa Perfumery. From the very beginning, my vision was to create more than a boutique — I imagined to craft a space where fragrance becomes poetry, where each bottle tells a story, and where every encounter awakens both the senses and the soul.

Over these nine years, we’ve had the privilege of meeting so many of you — fragrance lovers, inquisitive noses and dear friends who have supported us along the way. Your trust and curiosity have filled our journey with purpose, and for that, I extend my deepest gratitude.
