Our staff are professionally trained and we use the best quality packing materials. We can do the packing for you or, if you wish to do your own packing, we can supply the boxes free of charge. visit or you can ring up for a ‘rough idea’ price over the phone. We move full households or just a few items to anywhere – England, Europe or the rest of the World.

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our team with daily office operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and prior administrative experience. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for success. The position is paid and suitable for individuals eager to contribute to a dynamic & family run organisation while developing their administrative expertise.

This is a maternity cover position. Starting in February 2026 and finishing in February 2027.

Hourly rate: £13.50 - increased after probationary period.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain office files, records, and documentation with accuracy and confidentiality
Handle incoming calls with professional phone etiquette, directing enquiries appropriately
Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and calendar management for team members
Perform data entry tasks using Microsoft Office Suite and Sage 50 account as required
Support invoicing, billing, and other clerical duties to ensure smooth office operations
Organise office supplies and ensure the workspace remains tidy and efficient
Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks and financial record keeping using Sage 50 accounts
Provide general administrative support
Experience

Prior office or administrative experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Proficiency in Microsoft
Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry
Familiarity with Sage 50 accounts/Payroll or similar accounting software is advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, along with professional phone etiquette
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Minimum 5 GCSEs (must include A-C/9-4 in English & Maths)
Flexibility and willingness to learn
Key points

Maternity cover part-time - 3 days per week 9am-5pm (flexibility is required)
Salary: £13.50 per hour - increased after probationary period.
