Stretching across Chile and Argentina, Patagonia is a land of extraordinary contrasts and breathtaking beauty. Think snow-capped Andean peaks, turquoise lakes, immense glaciers, remote coastal inlets, endless Patagonian steppe and ancient petrified forests. This is a world where nature still rules, with the chance to encounter guanacos, penguins and condors.
🏔️ This is no ordinary motorcycle tour. This is a true expedition.
Over three incredible weeks, you'll experience a thrilling combination of tarmac and approximately 450 miles of gravel riding, tackling legendary routes including the Carretera Austral and the infamous Ruta 40. You'll cross the Andes between Chile and Argentina, ride through remote wilderness and discover spectacular places that make every mile an adventure.
This is a well-trodden route for both Chris and Alf having both been their recently. They will lead you to some of the most memorable sites South America has to share:
Bariloche — a beautiful lakeside town with an Alpine atmosphere, famous for its chocolate, fondue and mountain scenery.
El Calafate & Perito Moreno Glacier — witness one of Patagonia's most spectacular natural wonders, with the opportunity to experience glacier walking.
🐧 Penguin colonies & the Patagonian Steppe — discover remarkable wildlife and vast, open landscapes that seem to stretch forever.
🐎 Traditional Estancias — experience life on remote working farms, stay in characterful lodges and hosterias, and enjoy the taste of the occupants too 😊
The Strait of Magellan & Tierra del Fuego — cross into the legendary Land of Fire, where the landscapes become wilder and the sense of adventure grows with every mile.
🌎 Ushuaia — Fin del Mundo, the End of the World. Ride to the southernmost city in the world, then continue to the road's end in Lapataia National Park. There are few motorcycle journeys on Earth that offer a finish quite like this, you can even have your passport stamped and send a postcard home from the most southern post office.
And the adventure doesn't stop at the riding. There are opportunities to walk on ancient ice, explore remote wilderness on horseback, visit incredible wildlife colonies and immerse yourself in a part of the world that feels truly untouched.

Patagonia can be challenging at times, with remote roads, long distances between fuel stops, unpredictable weather and strong crosswinds across the open steppe.
