While you may have noticed I've been inactive for quite a while, due to ill health over the past 18 months (more on progress on that front towards 2025 coming soon), I've this autumn started a Masters in Outdoor Education at University of Wales Trinity Saint David.

So this will keep me busy during this winter as I rebuild my strength for next spring/summer, bringing together thoughts and learnings on outdoor activities of all kinds, nature and the environment, health and wellbeing - and lots more besides to tell you about on future Goode Walks!

The MA Outdoor Education programme has been developed to meet the needs of practitioners and graduates working in the broad area of outdoor learning in the UK and further afield. It brings together theory and practice to develop a higher level understanding of outdoor education as a distinctively al...

Took a fantastic group from Norse Foundation out on a seven mile walk in the north Essex countryside, as part of their preparation for taking on the 25 miles of the Surrey Three Peaks Challenge this summer.

That will be no mean feat, but judging by the way they enjoyed this circular from Rickling via Ugley and Quendon, they will take it in their stride. We’ll be doing a 15-mile walk in June nearby to help them gain some further fitness in the last few weeks before their July challenge event.

If you fancy doing something similar with your group, then get in touch to discuss your requirements.
