☔️ A Day in Lancaster… Rain and All! ☔️

As we headed to the Lancashire coast last week, we enjoyed a wonderful day exploring Lancaster. The weather certainly had other ideas, with plenty of rain throughout the day, but it didn’t dampen our spirits!

One of the highlights was enjoying a delicious cream tea while crossing the magnificent Lune Aqueduct aboard our canal cruise – a truly unique experience, even in the pouring rain. 🚤🍰

📚 Step into Brontë Country! 🚂

Our passengers enjoyed some free time exploring the charming village of Haworth, with its cobbled streets, independent shops, and rich literary history.

The highlight of the day was boarding the stunning Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, where we travelled through the beautiful Yorkshire countryside on this iconic heritage railway.

A wonderful day filled with history, scenery, and plenty of memories made! ❤️

🌸 A truly stunning destination for Bev and our passengers yesterday as they visited the beautiful Stody Estate Gardens. 🌸

The rhododendrons were absolutely breathtaking, filling the gardens with incredible colour and creating the perfect setting for a relaxing day out. 🌺✨

After exploring the wonderful gardens and soaking up the scenery, the day was completed perfectly with some delicious cake and refreshments enjoyed together. 🍰☕️

Another lovely day making memories and discovering some of the region’s hidden gems . 💙

Something a little different this week as we travelled to the stunning city of Ely for our “Riverside Roast & Ramble” adventure! 🌿☀️

Arriving just before midday, there was plenty of time to explore this beautiful historic city at leisure before meeting at Oliver Cromwell’s House to begin our guided ramble with our fabulous guide.

We wandered through Ely’s charming streets, discovered its picturesque waterfront, and soaked up the riverside scenery before sitting down to enjoy a delicious roast dinner by the river, with a choice of succulent gammon or turkey. 🍽️🚤

What an amazing day filled with history, laughter, lovely company, and beautiful views!

Recently, as part of our Scottish Borders tour, the group visited the incredible city of Edinburgh — a destination bursting with history, character and unforgettable sights! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿✨

It’s always wonderful hearing about everyone’s adventures and seeing how differently each person spends their free time. From exploring the magnificent Royal Yacht Britannia, to wandering the cobbled streets beneath Edinburgh Castle, discovering the story of Greyfriars Bobby, enjoying cosy cafés, shops and hidden gems — there truly is something around every corner in this amazing city.

A place that never fails to leave an impression… where would your first stop be in Edinburgh? 👀💙

Saturday in Norwich 💛

The city was buzzing today with the fantastic atmosphere of the Norfolk and Norwich Festival bringing music, entertainment and colour to the streets! 🎭✨

From the historic lanes and stunning architecture to the bustling market and riverside views, Norwich always makes for a brilliant day out. A city full of character, great shopping and plenty to explore — no wonder it’s such a favourite with our passengers. 🚍
