Sometimes even the gaffer has to get his hands dirty, with 1 of the lads on holiday and things looking extremely busy this week I started my day off at 6am in our yard, nipped to Lymm to get the truck washed and looking sparkly clean before a hot coffee and some job quoting to make sure the other trucks were busy and working before heading off to load a large crane attachment from an engineering company in Wythenshawe and delivering in to Newton le Willows i then sped off to Walton Summit and collected some rolled sheet metal from an aerospace company (no pics of this load as its highly sensitive cargo) and delivered to an engineering firm in Hyde. I then had some dinner and booked jobs for the other trucks to keep them busy into tomorrow before flying off to St Helens for a 3pm collection of some metalwork and 7.5m length tubing to deliver into a rail maintenance depot in Glasgow tomorrow morning. Managed to get booked into the fantastic 2 star days inn hotel on Abington services on the M74 for £68 surrounded by the beautiful sunbathed Scottish countryside, finally arrived at 6.30pm easy work. Feet up and a Chopstix for tea now before a 6am start to beat the traffic into my delivery tomorrow.
