Lovely little tideway come in for a complete makeover. The deck unfortunately reach there end of life due to water getting under the varnish and rotting out the plywood. New Sapele plywood was fitted with no fastenings just epoxy. We made new rubbing strakes to as the old ones had many cracks in.

Finished with 8x coats of varnish to get give a lovely deep shine.

Nelson 18

This little classic Nelson came into the shed for a full refit. One of the jobs being to the topsides.

We sanded off all the single pack paint and then applied 2 pack.

5x coats of 2 pack primer undercoat and then finished off with perfection pro 3x coats.

One very happy customer 😀

Cockpit teak work.

We started to remove the black caulking from the seams and then found out the teak boards had released from the fibre glass due to lack of sealant.


We removed all the teak off the boat and cleaned it up. We then glued it all back down with 1:1 epoxy before re priming and caulking with 290dc then finishing off with sanding.

Bottom work:
The bottom was sanded,seams primed, putty was put in the seams then 2x antifoul applied.

Hallberg Rassy 39ft decks.

The decks were due a re caulk due to the black caulking coming away from the teak boards and the seam being worn down to the rebate. There was also screw heads visible from the teak plugs releasing.

This was a long job and hard on the knees for us. 1,700 teak plugs removed and replaced and over 1,300ft of seam to rake out and cut deeper. Once this was complete we primed the seams with 290 dc primer and then caulked with 290dc sika flex.

Finished result on the shrimper we painted. We used perfection pro 2 part gloss. No spraying needed.

Shrimper 19.

This shrimper has come in for a topside re paint in 2 pack gloss. The old paint has all been removed and the primer undercoat has started to go on. Gloss next week.
