Local update 👀

Looks like Aldi UK are planning a new store on Chainbridge Road in Blaydon.

They’ve said they’ve wanted to open in Blaydon for years and are now preparing plans to submit to Gateshead Council.

So… good thing for the area or not?

For a local taxi firm, that’s not just a number on a screen.

That’s airport runs.
Hospital appointments.
School runs.
Nights out.
Early mornings.
Late finishes.
People getting home safe.

And 1,200 times someone has taken a minute out of their day to say we done alright.

Local update 👀

Go North East buses are currently unable to use Stella Road between The Runhead and Blaydon Bus Station due to low hanging trees damaging vehicles.

Services are diverting via Stargate Lane & the A695 until the issue is sorted.

Worth keeping in mind if you normally travel that way 🚌
