Today we held our Commercial Conference at the National Conference Centre.

We were joined by members from all parts of the network and were able to share updates from across the business at what is undoubtedly an exciting time for Palletline.

Special thanks to all our speakers, Steve Thorpe, Glenn Baker, Louise Andrews, Sian Morley, Harpreet Sohal, Paul Black, Garrett Thornton and Wesley Hancock.

Thanks also to all the members who came and made it a great day, and of course, to all those involved in the planning and preparation.

Great to see our very own Harpreet Sohal get recognised in the top 15 Decarbonisation Power Players list at the Motor Transport Decarbonisation Summit last week.

Harpreet has been instrumental in our ESG project and has helped shape our approach through his love of data!

Our ESG project is fundamentally based on real data and actual movements - from collection through to delivery - and independently verified by Auditel.

That data-driven approach means practical action plans are based on facts, and can be measured against a verified baseline.

Well done Harpreet.

Also great to see recognition for our members Chris Welch and Jamie Sands from Welch Group.

Hosted at Little Aston Golf Club, it was a brilliant day of friendly competition and some impressive golf.

Congratulations to our winning team of Harpreet Sohal, Romas Kusneraitis, Matthew Huetson and Simon Bradbury, who came out on top!

Another successful ISO 50001 audit for Palletline with zero non-conformities.

Achieving zero non-conformities is a fantastic result, particularly across an operation of our scale, and reflects the standards our teams maintain throughout the year.

Our auditor also highlighted the quality of the site, the effectiveness of our systems and processes, and the positive engagement of everyone involved in the assessment.

ISO 50001 means a structured approach to continually improving our energy performance, helping us identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency and minimise the environmental impact of our operations.

Thank you to everyone who was directly involved in the audit, as well as the teams maintaining these standards every day.

It’s a great result and very much a collective achievement.

Here are a few simple steps that can help protect your goods from the elements as they travel through the network.

👉 Use stretch wrap top-sheets to keep out water.
👉 Consider extra packaging if your goods don't react well to the cold.
👉 Use a quality pallet base that can withstand the weather.
👉 Label over the wrap, not under it.
👉 Check that everything’s secured to the base.

A well-wrapped, weatherproof pallet will ensure your goods arrive in better condition.
