This is the rear bumper of my MGZSI backed into A rock and smash the bumper and the X Power kit on the offside I’ve bought a secondhand bumper off a Rover 45, i’ve taken the kit off repaired it and fitted it to the new bumper, i’ve hung the bumper up in my workshop on welding wire so that I can prepare and paint it, as you can see it’s in primer I’ll flat it and paint it in colour and lacquer it tomorrow, with a bit of luck.

It's Saturday i've just fitted a new exhaust box and tailpipe and a dryer cartridge for the airbrakes there is a Half inch diameter pipe that runs from the front of the exhaust box to the bottom of the dryer unit ( marked with type ) that assists the drying process condensation created by the air Compressor is virtually eliminated by this dryer unit so it is important to change the cartridge on a regular basis

I've fitted the hinge back on the truck works well also bought a new handle to help my step up on the bed when I need to
I bought it from a place in ColesHill which is just down the road from me

While my tow truck is off the road waiting for the new hinge to be made I decided to replace the damaged nearside front wing which is plastic when I stripped off the inner wheel arch to access the bolts I discovered a rotten hydraulic pipe this is part of the mechanism that tilts the cab so I've had to make a new one out of galvanised Bundy pipe with nuts and olives

It's 7 o'clock in the morning on Tuesday, 10 May this is the hinge off my recovery truck that allows the body to tilt unfortunately the phosphor bronze bushes have worn out and will need to be replaced i'm just off to William Hawks blacksmith in Digbeth Birmingham to have a new hinge made so I will probably be off the road for a few days
