🚗 If your driving in the snow today, Read this quick guide ❄️
Snowy conditions don’t forgive mistakes. Whether you’re commuting or out on deliveries, preparation and technique matter.
Before you set off:
1️⃣ Clear your car
Remove all snow and ice from windows, lights and the roof.
2️⃣ Check your tyres
Good tread depth is essential — winter tyres if possible.
3️⃣ Pack an emergency kit
Warm clothes, water, food, a shovel, and jumper cables can be a lifesaver.
4️⃣ Use your lights
Dipped headlights on, even during the day, if visibility is poor.
🛣️ Driving techniques that make the difference:
5️⃣ Slow down
Everything takes longer in snow — reduce speed more than you think.
6️⃣ Increase your space
Leave up to 10x your normal stopping distance.
7️⃣ Be smooth
No sudden braking, accelerating, or sharp steering.
8️⃣ Gentle acceleration
Pull away in 2nd gear (or winter mode) to avoid wheel spin. Keep revs low.
9️⃣ Brake gently
Brake early and gradually. Use low gears to slow the car where possible.
Snow driving isn’t about confidence — it’s about control and patience.
Stay safe out there 👊
