Hello, my name is Anthony Baker.
I have been in the taxi trade since 2002 and before entering the business, like many others, I was a regular taxi user. My motivation to enter the taxi business stemmed from being let down by poor services; The countless times, my plans or appointments for the day led to avoidable disruptions due to no shows, late arrivals and poor communication. We’ve all had those messages telling us our taxi is on its way, only to wait a further half an hour with no updates wondering how, despite leaving sufficient time to get your hourly train, knowing with every ticking second you will miss it.
I therefore set about devising an efficient and effective service for customers whereby using texts the driver would receive the customer bookings via software.
Over time technology has changed, and improved, and I have now developed an app that does this task for you. For example, the customer can choose the driver and vehicle when they make a booking to ensure they feel comfortable and safe on their journey. There is no need for an operator, and it gives the customer more control and choice; The customer might have a favourite driver or need a car to accommodate excess luggage or personal access requirements.
This service is offered to both small independent companies and drivers.
So, you might be wondering how this works. It’s very simple;
• The customer/client can just register their name and number. This will allow them to look at a live map which will show them the availability of drivers in their location. Once they tap on the car icon, they will then see the full details of the driver and vehicle. If this meets their requirements, they can then book the ride, or they can book a taxi in advance
• Once the driver logs on, they will have two options. The first option to be available live on the map. The second option to go offline which will take them off the map. Once off the map they will only be available for advanced bookings in their location, or for times they may be temporarily unavailable but still require future bookings.
• Once the driver has excepted a booking the customer receives a notification. The driver can then if needed send a message or call a client, this helps when their location is not totally clear, or the destination has not been entered.
This app offers an easy-to-use bespoke service like no other service available. The App allows the company to build a wide client base which in turn helps the drivers to offer a tailored service that enables both parties to develop a relationship that fosters respectful and secure taxi use. It offers greater choice, customer control and reliability.
