When we’re out exploring new places, it’s easy to forget that what feels like a breezy 25°C day to us is actually a scorching, blistering **51°C to 57°C** on the pavement! 🛑

# # # 🐾 The 5-Second Tarmac Test

Before you set off for that seaside stroll or town walk, place the back of your hand firmly on the pavement for **5 seconds**. If it’s too hot for you, **it is absolutely too hot for their paws.** # # #

💧 Keep the Whole Pack Hydrated!
Dehydration is a massive danger for both two-legged and four-legged travelers in the summer sun:

* **For Humans:** Don't wait until you're thirsty! Keep a reusable water bottle handy and sip throughout the day to beat the heat.
* ** Dogs can't sweat to cool down. Always pack a portable bowl and fresh water. Heavy panting means they need shade and a drink immediately!
