We are delighted to announce that we are an official race partner for this years Blaydon Race.

This year marks the 41st running of the iconic local race which started from 212 athletes in 1981 to a 4700 sell out now, which could be sold twice over!

Members of our team will be running the race and also volunteering as marshal's on the day.

We are really thrilled to be able to support this icon local event 🏃‍♂️💨

March has been a busy busy month for the team here at First Mortgage, with some really positive signs demonstrating that the housing market is starting to move again despite the doom and gloom you may hear in national news publications.

We have helped well over 500 customers whether that be first time buyers, home movers, helping people to remortgage or arranging their Life Protection or Home Insurance policies.

We are anticipating this upward trend to continue as we enter the Spring home buying season.

Did you Know....

That one of the key factors that define mortgage interest rates are 'Swap Rates'.

Swap Rates are the rates at which Banks buy and sell money and following the Governments 'Mini' Budget announcement on 23rd Sep, the rates increased sharply which had a knock on effect on interest rates.

Since the peak in mid Oct we have seen the Swap Rates come back down to the levels they were prior to the Mini Budget. This has had a positive effect on mortgage rates, with many lenders reducing their rates in recent weeks, a huge positive for homeowners!

Will we continue to see rates come down? (we hope so 😁)

Due to last minute cancellation we have Friday to Friday available next week. We have 3 options. 1st £250 for Friday to Monday 2nd Monday to Friday £300 3rd £450 for Friday to Friday. All bookings have mandatory charge for cleaning if 20 pounds. Thanks
