After a busy few weeks, I finally got around to downloading the incredible photos our Quark Expeditions photographer, Françoise Gervais, captured during our Greenland adventure. And wow, do they make me wish I was back there! ❤️

Looking back, the whole experience almost feels like a dream. It really was one of those trips that couldn't have been more perfect.

I can certainly understand why so many Quark guests return for another expedition. I'm already dreaming about which itinerary I want to experience next!

I’m home from Greenland, but I’m definitely not done talking about this trip.

Before I went, I knew expedition cruising looked incredible. I had researched Quark, completed the training and knew what the itinerary offered.

But experiencing it firsthand was completely different.

I now understand what it actually feels like to wake up at 1:20 a.m. because the Northern Lights are out. To watch an Arctic fox for 20 minutes. To see a polar bear and cub in the wild. To step onto the Greenland Ice Sheet. To land a helicopter on a mountain. And to have your plans change because nature has other ideas.

Over the next few weeks, I’m going to share some of the things I learned about expedition travel, who I think it’s right for, what surprised me, and what I’d want to know before booking.

Because now I’m not just talking about Quark from what I’ve read.
