We will be showing off these beautiful plants between Saturday 22nd and Sunday 30th July in our Garden Centre in Beaulieu, Hampshire, With a talk and demonstration on Saturday 22nd at Beaulieu Village Hall, Beaulieu, Hampshire. Agapanthus 'Silver Baby' is a lovely dwarf variety with delicate white flowers flushed with pale blue at the edges. Its compact habit makes this variety especially suited to growing in containers.

Agapanthus Purple Heart

A large flowering plant forming large but tightly formed flower heads. The flowers are wonderful with deep purple on the outside and a lighter lilac purple on the inside with a darker stripe showing when fully open. Flowers June to October. Height 60cm.

Geranium Sabani Blue

An oustanding geranium with large, blue flowers with deep blue veining and mounds of foliage. This exciting geranium has been bred by Alan Bremner in Orkney and knocks the socks off all the other blue geraniums. Easy to grow, it flowers earlier than most and makes an excellent groundcover. If you deadhead after flowering, there is often a second flush later in the year.

Cirsium rivulare ‘Atropurpureum’ is an ornamental thistle, bearing incredible, deep purple thistles on elegant, long, leafless stems, in contrast with spiny, dark green foliage. It’s a wonderful choice for growing towards the back of a sunny herbaceous border, and works well when planted among grasses and other tall perennials.

Grow in moist but well-drained soil, in full sun. Cut plants back in autumn to prevent them self-seeding, or leave them intact to provide a winter source of food for birds. Lift and divide congested clumps in autumn or spring.

Astrantia Roma

Delicate, papery, soft pink flowers which are held on wiry stems above attractive deeply lobed, mid-green leaves. This delightful masterwort is a vigorous variety with a much longer flowering period than most pink or red varieties. It looks particularly fetching planted with grasses and is garden designer, Piet Oudolf's favourite masterwort.
