We spend a lot of time on the details. Not to overcomplicate things, but to make sure every part of a space feels just right. The texture under your hand. The way a drawer opens. The softness of a cushion at the end of the day. Our approach is simple. Use natural materials. Let the light in. Make space for stillness. Design should feel easy to live with and lovely to look at. We didn’t know what we were doing. But we knew it felt like home.
A sunlit nap aboard Katoomba, our very first narrowboat. She was old, a bit creaky, but full of charm. And beside me, our tiniest little crewmate fast asleep on the floor. ✨

She wasn’t just the boat we lived on. She was the first boat we ever built.
That’s where it all began. A baby on the way, no real plan, just a feeling that this was the start of something special.

Congratulations to all three winners from our recent competition ; Tracy, Adam & Paul 🤍

We want to thank everyone for your support throughout this competition, it wasn’t all smooth sailing but as a team we overcame some major roadblocks to be able to crown our amazing winners. 🤩

There will be plenty of chances to win some extraordinary prizes this year so don’t go anywhere. We will be sharing what goes on behind the business during these transitions between competitions.

We’ve lived on land for a little while now & do miss life afloat a lot 🤍

Our time on the water has shaped us for sure 🐚

I think the one thing I miss the most is that time & life just seem to slow right down on the canal. It really is the epitome of slow living; especially when you’re only travelling at 4mph 🤪

Oh, and the way the sunlight reflects off the surface of the water onto the ceiling on a boat…just dreamy & magical sitting with a cuppa & watching them dance 🌿

Oh, and also (!) being able to travel into the middle of the countryside with not a soul or house about & no roads near & no hums of distant traffic…just bliss!!

Too tricky to choose just one!
