As our Respect at Work campaign comes to a close, our final focus is on speaking up and supporting one another.

Creating a respectful workplace is everyone's responsibility. It's reflected in the way we communicate, support colleagues, and respond when something doesn't feel right. While speaking up isn't always easy, raising concerns early and looking out for one another helps create a culture where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected.

Although the campaign has ended, the conversation continues. Our Respect at Work guides will soon be available on Sage Self Service as an ongoing resource for all colleagues.

Q2 saw mixed performance across the UK and EU logistics and transportation sector. Freight volumes remained resilient, supported by e-commerce, manufacturing and third-party logistics demand, but margins were squeezed by higher fuel, labour and transport costs, persistent border administration and supply chain disruption.

UK operators faced softer business confidence despite modest economic growth, while European markets showed improving leasing activity and stable demand for modern logistics facilities.

Looking into Q3, expectations are cautiously positive, with seasonal trade, easing inflation and stronger occupier demand supporting volumes. However, geopolitical risks, energy prices and ongoing cost pressures are likely to keep profitability under pressure.
