Wombwell 1-3 Royston Railway.

A great performance from the lads today. Everyone worked hard as f**k and in the end we got our rewards.

Andy Horbury scored the only goal of the first half, rounding off a well worked move with a neat finish allowing the Railwaymen to come in at half time with 1-0 lead.
Wombwell were throwing men forward and the second goal came from a swift Royston counter attack with Nige Beardow left with the simple task of putting the ball into an empty net (something 2 other Royston players failed to do in the game).
Gaz Byrom Wright made sure of the 3 points late on in second half with a fine strike leaving the Wombwell keeper with absolutely no chance.

A honourable mention for Cam Cass, Royston's stand in keeper who pulled off several good saves throughout the match.

Royston Railway 3-4 worsborough Common. Good game today and despite the score a lot of positives to take from the game.
For the first time in a long time we've fielded 2 different 11's (1 for each half) with both holding their own. Again a few new faces down, all impressing on their debuts and a few more coming back to full fitness.
Andy Horbury hit a hat trick today with a few tidy finishes with Shane Swallow and Ant Moxon both completing another 45 minutes after a long time out injured.
The most impressive players had to be Matty Bowman who was a constant threat throughout the second half and our RB Cam Cass, who was sharp in the challenge and defended brilliantly throughout.
On the whole a good game for the Railway, and another step towards what will hopefully be a good season for the Railwaymen.
Thanks to everyone who turned out today and we will see you all next week, this time picking up a win

Friendly this week. Another home game vs Worsborough Common A. They're a Prem side so be a good test for upcoming season.

Another home friendly vs Honeywell. As always 10am down at Railway, 11 Kick Off.
Be a tough game against a side who last season got the better of us. So lets start by putting that right, picking up another win and building some momentum for the upcoming season

Good win today lads, some new faces down and a good run out for all boys. Nice to get a win on our first game back. Goal scorers Leggy, James Gillespie, Glenn Williams

Pre season officially starts this weekend.
On Sunday 30th we have our first game at Home vs Swaithe. Meet 10am at Railway, 11am Kick Off.
We should have a few new faces down and we're playing decent opposition so be a great test for us.
Let's have a good pre season and improve on last season

3 years ago RRFC were languishing in the mid tables of Barnsley Sunday league, Through hard work, dedication and desire of players coaches and supporters not to mention the steward and his continued support we have earned our right to battle with the best !

Hospital Cup Semi Final @ Athersley Rec. 7:30pm Kick Off tonight.

Give the lads your support tonight. It's been a tough season with injuries and players missing but the lads have given it their all and deserve their shot tonight. Everyone will be giving it 100%.

The Semi Final of the Hospital Cup is to be played up at Athersley Rec on Thursday 23rd March, 19:30 Kick Off. Come and support the lads against G Force.

Royston Railway 0-7 G Force Motors

Very disappointing result and scoreline, on another day we could have had 4 or 5 of our own. G Force a good side but the lads will look to right the wrongs next week.
