Hope Academy Hope's own take on Childrens bike rental. Why are kids bikes so heavy? How can this be solved when they grow so quickly? Think bike rental, only different.

We see one of the largest barriers to children taking up and more importantly enjoying cycling is the quality of the bikes they ride. Well how about a quality bike that grows with your child? There have been a couple of these systems launched in the past year, but all still use very basic, heavy bikes. Being Hope, we've come at this a little differently. Using our lightweight durable components fi

tted to well made, quality frames, we've created bikes that kids will enjoy riding. In fact they might have better components than their parents. These are offered on a monthly rental basis starting with basic (well actually not quite so basic) push along's at £5 per month, right through to small 26" wheeled bikes for £29 per month. As your child grows we'll have the next size available for them once they're ready for it. Alongside a range of bikes, we're also organising several courses around the UK and online tutorials to improve children's riding and maintenance skills. This will give them a sense of ownership so they can take care of their own bikes and grow to love cycling as much as we do.

🌲 Where do YOU want to see us in 2027? 🚲

We’ve absolutely loved every minute of this year’s Forestry Tour — meeting so many new faces, introducing kids to cycling and watching their confidence and skills grow from session to session. ❤️

But now we want to know where should we go next?

With sessions available for all abilities for children aged 2-12 years to come and join the fun....

Saturday & Sunday

10am & 2pm Basics and New Peddlers (Beginners)
For young riders and new peddlers.. this session will focus on the very basics! balance, braking, & changing direction

11am & 3pm FUN-Damentals (Intermediates)
An exciting session covering essential mountain biking skills! We’ll dive into cornering, braking, pumping, and body position, helping you build confidence in the core techniques needed for the trails. Perfect for all levels looking to enhance their ride!

12pm& 4pm Drops & Jumps (Advanced)
Once you’ve mastered the fundamentals, we’ll dive into advanced skills for tackling rock gardens and tree roots! Get prepared to conquer those technical trails with confidence.

We’re hosting FREE children’s cycling sessions at Sandlings Forests - Forestry England Rendlesham Forest on Saturday 11th April & Sunday 12th April 🙌

👶 Suitable for ages 2–12
🎯 Fun, friendly sessions for all abilities
👀 Great for parents to watch and cheer them on!

Saturday Sessions:
🔹 10:00 & 14:00 – Balance Bikes & Beginners
🔹 11:00 & 15:00 – Intermediates (braking & cornering)
🔹 12:00 & 16:00 – Advanced (drops & jumps)

Sunday Sessions:
🔹 10:00 – Balance Bikes & Beginners

All sessions take place in a purpose-built arena, packed with fun challenges for every level 🌟
