Every windscreen, bumper, suspension, steering or alignment job on one is also a recalibration job, and a fleet running twenty of them cannot afford a van off the road waiting for a dealer slot. Hella Gutmann ADAS equipment fully covers the Transit Custom, so the independent workshop that services the fleet can calibrate it in the same visit, with a report the fleet manager can file.

The headlights on this Audi are new and the indicator light won't switch off.

That's not a fault with the units, it's the coding, and someone had already been out to attempt it once. Riccardo's at Lab Autos with macsRemote, handing the job straight to the Hella Gutmann remote technicians to get it programmed properly without the car leaving the workshop.

A replaced windscreen is not finished when the glass is in.

The camera behind it can be out by a fraction of a millimetre, and lane keep and AEB will act on that error at 70 mph.

Whether completing a windscreen replacement, geometry alignment, or steering and suspension repairs, recalibration is not an optional extra, it is standard procedure. The Hella Gutmann CSC-Tool SE is multi-brand: camera calibration as standard, expansion kits for radar, lidar, rear cameras and 360 degree systems, and a report that meets Thatcham and insurance industry requirements so the insurer signs it off first time.
