At the end of April, the team headed all the way to Scotland for a slightly different project. This time, instead of a jetty or pontoon installation, they were tasked with designing and installing bespoke boat launch rails for a waterfront property with a challenging tidal range.

A long way from home and a seriously hard week of grafting, but the finished result was well worth it. A fantastic effort from the RA Marine team.

If the grey days have you daydreaming about time on the water, you’re in good company. We’ve already been busy this year working with clients to complete projects, plan ahead for 2026, and explore new ideas through site visits and design work.

Project update! Back in September, we completed the replacement of Jetty 7 at Frensham Pond Sailing Club as part of the club’s long-term jetty renewal programme.

This like-for-like replacement was designed to integrate with an existing concrete access ramp and connect to a retained timber jetty used for wheelchair access. The new structure features a bespoke frame, composite decking, and reclaimed cruise ship mooring rope provided by the club.

With a tight timescale to minimise disruption, the entire installation was completed in just four days, allowing sailing activities to continue with minimal impact.
It’s always a pleasure to support clubs with durable, tailored water-access solutions that are built to last.

From vision to reality…and some kind feedback from a recent jetty project:

“RA Marine Ltd have been absolutely fantastic to work with, from the inception of the idea to completion. I was initially concerned that the jetty might be too modern, but the team worked closely with me on the design which I love. Manufacture of the steel frame was swift and the installation seamless. We utilised some historic piles which created some challenges but the team took them in their stride and the result exceeded my expectations. I don’t usually write testimonials, but the experience really justified doing so.”

A recently completed project at the Serpentine Lido in Hyde Park—an aluminium-framed swimming access ramp with a non-slip GRP surface and handrails on both sides to improve safe and inclusive lake entry.

The structure was pre-fabricated off-site to ensure quick installation with no disruption to lake users and has been designed to blend with the natural surroundings of the Royal Park.

Project Spotlight: New Multi-Level Jetty Completed early in the year!
Back in February the team completed a bespoke multi-level jetty installation for Leamington Spa Canoe Club, supporting both community paddlers and world-class para-athletes.
The old timber landing stage was ready for retirement, and our team delivered a modern solution:

- Upper & lower levels for varying craft and water levels
- Smooth-edge design for easy kayak launches
-️ Built to withstand the elements with minimal maintenance

Despite cold conditions, uneven ground, and tricky access, our team overcame every challenge to deliver a safe, long-lasting upgrade that will serve the club and athletes for years to come.
