💪🚛 PROUD TO HAVE SUPPORTED ULTIMATE STRONGMAN PRODUCTIONS AGAIN!

Last weekend, we were proud to support Ultimate Strongman Productions at Wales’s Strongest Man, held last Sunday at Cardiff International Sports Campus in Cardiff, Wales.

Our truck made the journey to Cardiff to deliver the goods to the team — but this delivery had a rather different ending! 👀

💪🚛 Our truck was then used for the truck pull, with competitors having to pull the truck all the way over a 20-metre course!

Now that’s certainly putting a truck to work! 😂💪

🚛 CLASS 1 DRIVERS REQUIRED – TRAMPERS, NIGHT & DAY MEN

Based from Ballymoney or Belfast, R Barkley & Sons Ltd are looking for energetic and reliable Class 1 Drivers to join our transport team.

This role involves operating a variety of loads including curtainsider, flatbed and lowloader work, delivering freight safely and efficiently across Ireland.

📍 Based: Ballymoney / Belfast
🌍 Routes: Across Ireland
🚛 Allocated vehicle (minimal swapping – except MOT cover)

🛠️ DUTIES INCLUDE:
• Safe operation of Class 1 vehicles
• Timed deliveries (road conditions permitting)
• Vehicle checks (pre & post trip)
• Securing loads safely
• Route planning & adapting to traffic
• Maintaining driver logs & records
• Liaising with dispatch team

✅ REQUIREMENTS:
• Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• CPC & Digi Card
• Truck / delivery experience
• Good knowledge of Ireland
• Strong understanding of transport safety

⭐ Tramper & ADR experience beneficial

We were proud to support Ultimate Strongman Productions at their recent Scotland’s Strongest Man competition.

Our team handled the transport side of the event, delivering the load for the Ultimate Strongman team ahead of setup and transporting everything on to their next event - UK's Strongest Man which will be held in Milton Keynes later this month!

The Ultimate Strongman team looked after the full setup and takedown, bringing together another fantastic competition, well done to all who took part!

While our truck was on site, it was also put to work in true strongman style — taking centre stage as part of the Truck Pull event, where competitors tested their strength by pulling it in front of the crowd.

It was brilliant to play a part in supporting the event and a huge well done to everyone involved in organising, competing and supporting the day.

From transport and logistics to strongman events — our trucks are built for the heavy stuff. 💪🚛

🚛 SUBCONTRACTORS REQUIRED – UK TRUNK WORK 🌙

We are seeking experienced and reliable Subcontractor(s) to join our transport operation.

📍 Based ex Ballymoney
🌍 Ireland ➝ UK work
🗓️ 3 trips per week
⛴️ Usually outbound on the midnight boat and return on the midnight boat
📌 Over the top route via Cairnryan

We may also consider a Scotland-based haulier to lift direct from the boat if suitable.

✅ ADR not essential, but would be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

✔️ Timely delivery to and from depots
✔️ Adhering to all boat times/bookings
✔️ Driving within legal limits
✔️ Ensuring all paperwork/documentation is completed correctly
✔️ Maintaining valid operator’s licence and insurance documentation

We’re looking for dependable operators who take pride in delivering a professional service.
