A nice trip up the coast to visit Concarneau and it’s historic walled town strutting out into the harbour.

Visited on a Sunday so fairly bus and it had a nice vibe with all its crafty shops, bars and restaurants. Got some nice snaps which hopefully convey the feel of the place.

So… finally got on my first trip of the year 🏍️.

Did the long ferry from Portsmouth to Caen which gave me just one days ride to get into Brittany. Stopped off at Ploërmel which was on route and potentially looked like a nice place to spend a bit of time and take some snaps. However, it was SO hot and I really wasn’t feeling it 🥵.

Anyway, here are a few pics I got while sweating my way around the town. They are not that interesting and as such represent the town well. Although that maybe a bit cruel, the temps were counting against it. A visit on a more temperate day probably would have shown it at its best.

Back on the bike and the dash was showing as 42deg!! No wonder wandering around the town on the mid day sun was a little wearing.

Got to my camp site near Carnac and the temps had dropped to a more pleasant 34.

The next day was forecast to be just as hot to I cancelled my tourist plans and just hit the beach 🏖️ . Don’t you hate it when your plan B is your only option.

Nice walk out around the coast southward from Clacton-on-Sea and along the creaks towards Point Clear.
Lovely peaceful open countryside that was hard to capture on camera, but also some interesting farm buildings. Finished in St Osyth for a bus ride home. Perfect Spring weather.

Finally got the old girl on the road again. Been a couple of years. All good apart from a couple of electrical niggles that have shown themselves in the shakedown. Oh and filling up with “4 Star” was a bit of a shock 🥴.
Compulsory coffee stop as well of course.
