Over the years I have done dozens of TV and radio broadcasts across the world. Having just changed computers this video was unexpectedly visible on the new desktop.

Normally you get between 2 and 3 minutes maximum to explain a story. On world wide news channels it can be as little as 90 seconds.

Just before Christmas 2018 I had a call from BBC News to go to Glasgow to try to explain the chaos at Gatwick airport.

Not only did I get 5 minutes to develop an explanation of the danger of mixing drones and aeroplanes but the studio delayed the UK Government Transport Minister to allow me to finish my explanation.

An interesting visit to Glasgow Prestwick airport this week to report on the arrival of a beautiful DC8 owned by the American charity Samartan's Purse. They had delivered a 60 bed field hospital and medical staff to Lviv in Western Ukraine to help the refugees from Putin's war on an innocent people and country

I was reminded the other day about the still missing MH370. My theory has not changed since the week after the Boeing 777 disappeared. The flight was commandeered by a member of the flight crew, almost certainly the captain, and carefully ditched in the Indian Ocean. A case of workplace su***de and the tragic death of all on board.

I contributed to a few documentaries in the weeks afterwards. I can't find a working link to the Discovery Channel one but here is the BBC Horizon programme.

How to create your own career in aviation. There are not many people like Steve Giordano. He set aside a career as an airline capyain and became a aircraft ferry pilot. Then he started his own company and now rules the world (almost literally).

Not content with being an excellent pilot and business man Steve also writes and plays his own jazz which he uses in the background of the films he now makes about his adventures while flying around the world.
